How much money does this guy (Weiner) get paid? How much is he worth? And who pays for it? We and the lobbyists? And he's so fucking bored that he sends pictures of his dick? I'm no prude: I'm of a Marxist persuasion, and I resent the man who makes 10X as much as I do, whose health insurance I'm paying for, has time to do this shit. Fuck that. I'm busting my ass to make ends meet, as is my wife. Maybe I resent it most because he talks such a good game. But this sort of shit is THE WORST of all bourgeois excesses. Fuck him. Some other Dem. can take his place. I hope his replacement is a union man--even better if he's a commie.

I am not jealous of people who have more, and I don't feel particularly guilty that some have less. What I care about is how the accumulation of wealth can be used to tilt the rules of the game in favor of a few. Granted, it is a somewhat related subject to the op, but it is still different. Gimme a break. Everyone deserves some spare time to goof around, and IMO though he showed bad taste and horrendous judgement in this matter I could not care less that a congressman on the public payroll took some time to twitter. If anything, he was an ass for letting his supporters go out on a limb defending him.
