When Will the Democratic Party Understand?
This isn't "just politics," this isn't "just a job," and it sure as well isn't "just a game" ???

We are at war, and the Republicans just took out one of our high profile soldiers, in such a was that he dimished his party, his seat, and our chances in 2012.

I'm tired of our team playing nice, I'm tired of our team playing softball, and I'm tired of our team not TAKING THIS SHIT SERIOUSLY.

I don't want one more word of compromise. I don't want one more word of timidity.

I want poltical blood.

he wasn't serious, and he got taken down.

This isn't a game. Its a war.

6. Pelosi is calling for an ethics investigation.
Its rare when one's own party makes the call.

And you know the pukes will arrange to make this last till election. Calls are already out there for resignation.

No understanding yet.

25. Pelosi's a smart politician
and she's preempting any republican calls. She knows this is a distraction and a headache nobody in the party needs, especially when republicans are shooting themselves in the feet with their vouchercare program.

7. Weiner made a serious mistake. Do not Hold YOUR Breath
waiting for our Party to fight for anything. Each
member looks out for how to save his or her seat in
the Big House On Capital Hill. Expect any more and
you will remain sorely disappointed.

8. Wrong. He KNEW how many people he sent the photo of his junk to.
He also KNEW that once the cat was out of the bag, they would come crawling out of the woodwork for their 15 minutes. So far, 3 of the 6 already have and one claims to have proof he called her from his congressional office for phone sex.

Stick a fork in him. His credibility is shot after lying about this for 10 solid days when he KNEW it was going to come down like this.

You are right about the challenge, but wrong about the message. This isn't about Republicans taking out one of our own, it is about one of our own shooting himself in the foot.

I count Weiner as one who didn't take his position seriously. He LET the Republicans take him down. ALL his fault, but the Republicans don't give a shit - they're quite happy. Weiner made it easy.

Whe are we going to start treating this like the war that it is?

Did Weiner think he was invincible?

16. There are always going to be sex scandals, because people love sex and
a lot of times love it with some one other than their spouse.

18. And "we'll never elect a black man for president"
I'm tired of "conventional wisdom" that isn't. Time to think about what could be not what has been or "will always be."

"If God had meant man to fly He would have given him wings."

"The world is flat."

"You can't fight city hall."

"Man created the supernatural to justify his own limitations." Damn, I wish I could find the cite for that quote!

lying to the public is our problem, especially while you're setting yourself up as a giant killer, and honding a Supreme Court Justice.

Where will that go now?

FUCKING NOWHERE

he was setting himself up a Jack the Giant Killer, and really pushing to toss Thomas from the SCOTUS

I see Weiner as a guy who didn't take this deal sereiously. He tried to play a game, and made it all too easy for the Repuke Machine to take him down. He's not a victim in my eyes, he's a liar.
