Demanding it, more precisely.

He'll be gone by Friday.

13. She compared sex scandals of all the suspects post-Clinton, Dem and
rethug. She put them in categories: creepy v. less creepy, and legal v. not (my words, I can't remember her exact terminology).
Weiner came in as creepy but legal, and she had quite a cast of characters.

what exactly the communication was, how can she say? How can any of us say?

34. When Maddow interviewed him last week...
she asked him if the pics were of him. He hesitated and wouldn't answer the question. My suspicions immediately went way up. I thought if he can't answer the question with an unqualified "absolutely not" there's something up. I was listening to the podcast so I couldn't see Maddow, but it sounded like she was taken aback. She hesitated for a brief moment before her next question.

That's why I wasn't surprised by his confession.

Double standards that are set by Newt Gingrich, of course!

42. Rachel just may be wrong this time about the legal part......
Some gal is claiming he was at work on government provided devices when he was sexting with her. That would be illegal.

I hope I am wrong but I'm bracing for the possibility of underage girls. Also will there be some females who did not want that kind of attention that felt harassed? Who the hell can tell what this will lead.

Nancy Pelosi is going to do an investigation. Maybe he'll resign and save her the trouble.

44. On what basis?
Would it have been illegal if he'd used his congressional phone to call Domino's?

Don't say "illegal" when what you mean is "icky".

The repubs will milk this until the last picture, email, tweet, and phone call are exposed.

I'm not excusing Weiner, but think Vitter.

21. This isn't about Vitter, and pointing fingers saying "he did it too" is so pre-teen.
Wiener brazenly called the press to his office and stated with certitude that someone else did this to him. He implied that federal laws were broken by stating his twitter account was hacked. He cast asparagus against others in a dishonest defense of himself. Those aren't things I want in a representative, even though it isn't mine. Vitter is water under the bridge. It's our own house we are responsible for cleaning, not that of the repubs.

This isn't going away until the last picture, email, twitter, and facebook message is released. I see it trickling out in drips and drops until election time.

Wiener isn't as big nor is he as important as the Democratic Party or the Obama Administration. I would say it's time for him to fall on his sword for the good of the party and the message.

6. I think so too.
I was heartbroken today when I found out he'd lied. How dumb am I? If he'd just owned up to this mess from the beginning I think he could have weathered the storm. But not now. What a disappointment.

22. Like anybody would have owned up to it upon first being found out.
It just isn't realistic. I guess this goes to my character, but I guess, as somebody who is generally good but definitely fallible, I can see very easily how he could have made the mistakes in handling this situation.

14. A man is only as good as his word.
Rep Weiner lost what integrity he has.

I know people are saying its just a lie. But its more than that. He lied to a nation, people rose to defend him. Its over. Resignation is the honorable thing to do.
