This is why Dems lose "Democrats Shy From Weiner as G.O.P. Seizes on Scandal" the
republicans have Vitter who loves his hookers & refused to resign, still serving & what about the republican senator who likes to try & pick up guys in airport bathrooms. Both of these guys were so called family value hypocrites. Not condoning Anthony's little online episode at all but before everyone gets all holier than thou, all of the republicans need to resign first & the dems should be firing back about them before crucifying one of their own.

2. Republicans also have Chris Lee who resigned after it was revealed
he sent a shirtless pic of himself to some woman. They have Foley who resigned after texting ex-pages with requests for their pics. It has Ensign who resigned after the details of his affair and paying off of the couple were revealed.

Funny you forgot those examples.

7. funny you left out some pretty relevent details
Foley first met the pages when they were underage, groomed them, and then asked for pics when they turned legal age. Ensign broke several laws against lobbying and tried to force constituents to use his former employees lobbying service. Lee put an ad on Craig's list.

Ensign is a bad example...He was busted nearly two years ago maybe longer & only resigned to try and avoid further ethics probes.

24. Nothing funny about it. Funny how you left Vitter and the Utah Senator out and who are still
serving which is my point about this. If the republicans want to take on Weiner they can explain the others in their crowd who are still serving after prostitutes and trying to pick up guys in airport restrooms (also arrested and charged).

21. Agreed; Vitter is still in because of LA. They will accept anything there with an "R" before their
name. Weiner is highly intelligent & one of our best who was not afraid to go after what was needed going after unlike so many of our dems. What he did was a very stupid juvenile act & that is something I still don't understand why. Flaw in the personality I guess.

over and over, they hope if they appease, the pubs will play nice. They, and their sock puppets never, never do.

My dem gov, over and over, placated and gave in to pub demands on legislation, declaring she is governing the "whole state". The pubs still attacked her, and anonymously funded groups to go after her. She barely won re-election, as her governing the whole state didn't get her any votes in the end. Appeasement never works, ever.
