2. What I'm hoping for.....
is not only a huge show for KO, but a huge boost for Current TV.

So let's all hope.....and watch...

3. Excellent choice
Here's hoping Countdown will live up to its full potential and that Current gives the show its full support.

5. It's too bad that Current is not doing a BIG roll-out
2 hrs of Keith (without the goofy stuff MSNBC made him add)
2 hrs of Shuster
2 hrs of Michael Moore
2 hrs of Thom Hartmann

for starters..

1 hour is not enough

7. I suspect they are waiting to see how many viewers actually tune in
If they get high percentages of his viewership from msnbc, that will be a huge win to begin. From there they can build.

8. Yep, that's what's needed. And with more and more people dumping traditional TV this
is a great time for Current being a real alternative to corporate conglomerated contrived tabloid MSM propaganda.

12. 1 hour sandwiched between all the crap that they routinely show
may not be enough to turn the tide:(

10. I vote for leaving in the goofy stuff
Humor was Keith's best characteristic.

16. Humor is fine, but when he has only an hour, I always hated to see
Edited on Tue Jun-07-11 11:30 AM by SoCalDem
20 minutes dedicated to wacky stuff that I can watch on my own computer anytime I want...or can see on any number of other tv venues..

Keith's specialty is skewering right wing bloviators, and we need more ..not less of that:)

In a 3 hour format, there's plenty of time for some goofball stuff, but one hour is all we get..

I've been hoping for that association. Maybe David will be allowed to do some investigative reporting, as well. He's good at that.

Wheeee! I can stop watching the Waltons at 5 p.m., soon.

18. Since Comcast does not seem to want to keep us informed,
will 'Current' be broadcasting on-line? I cannot afford the very expensive Comcast package that includes this station. Those of us with basic cable are really at a disadvantage.

27. I just read the reviews of Roku and it is overwhelmingly positive.
Quick question. What level to I have to buy to receive 'Current' and is it a one time cost.
I have not had the time to read everything about it and will but I am puzzles. Why are there so many references to Netflix?
I just want to find a way to watch KO and I consider David Shuster a bonus.

This old lady needs a little guidance before paying out the money--there isn't that much to go around.
Any comments appreciated.

30. Current TV is free on Roku. They refer to Netflix a lot because
Edited on Tue Jun-07-11 05:32 PM by RKP5637
for about $9/mo. you have access to thousands of streaming movies if you want.

I switched to Roku with Netflix to cut costs here. Just as a note, you can also access You Tube via Roku and all types of free movie channels. Not everything is free, of course, but a lot of it is because they're movies in the public domain.

You'll need a cable Internet connection that is not too slow, it should tell you on the Roku site what speed you need, etc. Depending on where your TV is where you want to use Roku and where your cable modem is you might need a wireless router.

34. I don't know if it will be streaming live, but for example with Rachel Maddow's show
Edited on Wed Jun-08-11 11:42 AM by RKP5637
it's available the next day without commercials on Newscaster which is on Roku. We'll probably have to wait and see how it all plays out after KO's on a bit.

37. I'm back, looked it up. It's
listed under http://www.thenowhereman.com/roku/ It's a private Roku channel. After you go to the URL and put in the code "Nowhere TV" will be available on your Roku box. It's not listed in the Channel Store.

Then, go into "Nowhere TV" and scroll down about a 1/3 if the way and a line of "Current TV" programs will be there. I'm hoping they put KO's show in there the next day after his show. I doubt they'll be doing live streaming. I do wish they would just put "Current TV" on live streaming all the time like they do for AJZ and others.
