Salute your good, hard-working, scandal-free Democratic Congressman in this thread.
I'll start. My Congressman is Jim Himes. He defeated the odious Chris Shays and is doing a terrific job working for his constituents and for the country.

It just seems unfair that congressmen have to tweet pictures of their penis or pecs to get any attention.

2. I would if there were a Dem rep in my district, but since there isn't, I salute Dems in other...
districts that don't snap photos of their personal parts, tweet them, and lie about it. I also salute Dems and all politicians that go through their careers with violating laws, taking bribes, or doing stupid shit like Weiner did.

9. I don't have any to salute, and that scandalous.
Jeff Fortenberry is "mine". And then there's Lee Terry and Adrian Smith. They're not dogged by personal scandal. I guess that's the best I can say about any one of them.

11. Unfortunately, my representative is David Wu (D OR 1st), I will salute our two senators, though...
Jeff Merkeley and Ron Wyden are both hard-working, smart, ethical, and liberal. I'm proud to have both of them in DC representing Oregon.

15. This is harder than it sounds
I was going to cite my Delegate, the wonderful Eleanor Holmes Norton...then I remembered that she and her husband were mired in a tax scandal right before she was first elected.

So I figured I'd cite instead the rep from my hometown, the even more wonderful Jan Schakowsky...until I remembered that her husband actually got sent to prison while she was a sitting congresswoman (and, sure, that's not her scandal, but still...)

So then I figured I'd cite the last actual congressman who represented me, Mike Doyle. Never heard of Mike Doyle? That's because he's spent 16 years in Congress doing precious little except voting the right way and bringing home the bacon for the PA-14. But he's scandal-free!

So I'm thinking that being scandal-free is actually overrated.
