ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (AP) — A New Mexico man's decision to lash out with a billboard ad saying his ex-girlfriend had an abortion against his wishes has touched off a legal debate over free speech and privacy rights.

The sign on Alamogordo's main thoroughfare shows 35-year-old Greg Fultz holding the outline of an infant. The text reads, "This Would Have Been A Picture Of My 2-Month Old Baby If The Mother Had Decided To Not KILL Our Child!"

Fultz's ex-girlfriend has taken him to court for harassment and violation of privacy. A domestic court official has recommended the billboard be removed.

But Fultz's attorney argues the order violates his client's free speech rights.

However he has shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that the woman was smart to abort and even smarter to dump him. Now when and if she does choose to reproduce she will hopefully choose a better father for her children than this immature, spiteful loser.

... which makes the billboard all the more disgusting. Either way, she'll be a hell of a lot better off without this creep in her life.

Are clearly harassment and an invasion of privacy....and yeah, he is a spiteful loser, but that doesn't give him the right to make someone else's life a living hell, even after she told him to take a hike.

Billboards cost money. Follow the money and you'll find some "right to life" group playing one of their shitty games.

HIPPA doesn't apply to asshole ex-boyfriends. She's already filed an order of protection against him though, so that's a start.

He's not her doctor or a medical professional so she couldn't sue under HIPAA. He's admitted that he doesn't know if she miscarried or had an abortion (her friend's say she miscarried).

She should sue him for harassment.
