Trying to implicate other people was wrong. Those should be the only issue with this situation. The rest is an issue between him and his wife.

Another thing that is wrong with this whole story is that it's a story and before you go slamming the media for making it a story, if they didn't have interest in stories like this, they wouldn't make so much out of them. It's got nothing to do with liberal or conservative but everything to do with ratings and advertising revenues and that mostly comes down to the American public.

1. You are in the trap of money first.
In a money first world, there is no moral component, and what ever sells, and sex sells, is what is done.

That has been posted many times, and why money first does not help society.

It would be easy to explain how people like that story becuase of the titillating gossip, and how that is used to hurt someone by the weakness of the audience that then uses it to feel righteous while doing the same thing as anyone in the story by liking the story.

But would that make money and get ratings?

Shouldn't someone take responsibility and explain how smears are used to try and control society? Maybe try to help society not the smear merchants.

2. He WAS BEING STALKED.

This story came out because it was orchestrated to come out. The Smoking Gun has that part of the story.

Now, he knew enough to know he should not have been fooling around in May. But we have already established that Weiner is a dick idiot.

He didn't implicate enough people, to my mind. But The Smoking Gun has 'em.

3. You think it's okay for a politician to use his public Twitter account or ...
Facebook page, where people are presumably following him because of his status as a politician, as a pick-up place to strike up conversations with young girls and send them immature pictures of himself?

This is okay?

A private affair would be okay. This is an abuse of his status, really. I question his judgment, his morality, and frankly, his intellect.

5. Why? What do you care? She probably does and they will have to deal with it.
It's none of you business.

7. The OP stated that the actions of Mr. Wiener weren't wrong.
I was merely pointing out that right or wrong in this case is a matter of perspective, namely his wife's.

And as for what is or isn't my business, I'm reminded of the movie The American President.

President Andrew Shepherd: This is not the business of the American people!

A. J. MacInerney: With all due respect, sir, the American people have a funny way of deciding on their own what is and what is not their business.
