Okla. Democrat Dan Boren to retire from House
Rep. Dan Boren, the only Democratic member of Congress from Oklahoma, says he will not seek a fourth term in the U.S. House.

Boren made his intentions known during a news conference today in Muskogee.

Boren, son of former U.S. senator and Oklahoma governor David Boren, was first elected to the House in 2004. Republicans gained ground in Oklahoma in the last election, winning the governorship among other races.

The younger Boren is a member of the fiscally conservative Blue Dog Coalition. Earlier this year, he was one of three Democrats to join Republicans in voting to repeal the nation's health care law.

Good riddance, worthless DINO! Although it would've been preferable for him to have never ran for Congress initially.

At this point, I hope that he retires immediately so that a special election can be held in order for a REAL progressive Democrat to replace him.

1. I'm sure we will all miss him. He will probably join Bayh with the Chamber.

2. Well, it IS Dan Boren in Oklahoma.
I know because I drive all the way through from Texas every few months, driving right through Ugly Homely City.

3. Seriously, does anyone expect a "progressive" to be elected in OK?

It's not Oregon or even Ohio.

I bet you'll end up with someone who would execute women who had abortions.
