Reading of the Constitution IS EXPURGATED
The Republicans vaunted reading of the constitution will be edited to "reflect the changes" caused by the many amendments.

This is kicking off a debate because any editing of that form results in political bias.

It would be awfully inconvenient to read aloud the part about "3/5ths of a person", for example...

Also, rewriting history is their specialty.

2. if you're gonna read it, reading it "as amended" makes the most sense.
not that making sense has anything to do with it.
they only reason they're doing it is so they can claim to be properly exalting the constitution and thereby claim legitimacy to whatever they do, no matter how unconstitutional (or merely unwise or odious).
