I may have missed it but it is time for someone in the Democratic
leadership to stand up and say it and keep saying it every day from now on that everything in the budget is "on the table' except "Social Security and Medicare". These two items are not part of the budget discussion, they will be addressed separately from now on. Every other part of the budget is up for negotiation and cuts, but we will start with the items that effect the top of income pile not the bottom. you want "shared sacrifice", fine, we're going to start with those who have not be asked to sacrifice yet, corporations and the rich, subsidies, tax exemptions, etc. . The safety net for the poor and benefits for the middle class workers of the country will not be touched until last.

1. SocSec & Medicare should be last because there NEEDS to be somekind of social contract,

otherwise there is nothing to call a "nation", named USA, because we are NOT United by anything but the happenstance of proximity and past experiences, about which we fundamentally disagree.

People should learn that it is okay to honestly, rationally, and fairly consider the following hypothesis on an ongoing basis:

As long as there is no given-contract that makes America America, socialism, or some degree there of, is an appropriate and functional response to all FAILURES in contracts. Expectations, based on 50+ years of life here, are apparently ir-relevant if you're over 55.

We are not governed by ROYALS; we govern ourselves for OUR OWN purposes.

STOP THE KILLING. END the WARS!!!

5. I agree with Medicare for All and strengthening SS
but they do not belong in the budget cutting process, they must be kept separate.
