Mr. President: No matter how pro-corporate your nominee is, you will still be a "socialist"
Despite the fact that President Obama's cabinet and advisors is already populated by corporate lackeys, they already call him "anti-business", a "socialist", and a "communist". Hiring yet another pro-corporate confidant is not going to change the perceptions of morons.

1. What does your average TeaHadist call President Obama in private?
Exactly.

Stop trying to build bridges with people we have almost nothing in common with. Their agenda is a damaging nightmare that exacerbates plutocracy.

3. I'm more or less attacking the conventional wisdom than giving him the benefit of the doubt

4. "Socialist" is a convenient shorthand term for *absolutely anything* the righties
find objectionable. I'd LOVE to see a political ad featuring a parrot squawking "socialism!..socialism!" while a level-headed voiceover attempts to explain progessive policy.

6. It's true.
I remember having one such moron tell me Geithner was a 'socialist' last year.

The ignorance is breathtaking.

7. He's not trying to win the pukes' hearts
He's doing their bidding.

And he'll be rewarded no matter what they say about him publicly.

It's way past time to stop thinking he's merely misguided.

(River in Egypt and all that...)

8. he's not trying to put a conservative face onto his admin
to get the so-called conservatives to work with him. He is what he does.... and doesn't do.
