My aunt had a heart attack today

My aunt had a heart attack today
Just got off the telephone with my mother who sadly informed me that two hours ago my aunt had a heart attack. Not sure of the severity just yet, only that she has been hospitalized and being closely monitored.

Why?

Less than a year ago she lost her husband to t-cell lymphoma and cannot support her three children, the mortgage, her bills AND her blood pressure medications.

Because she cannot afford medication....

F*ck this place!

get swept under the rug in USA, Inc., corporations first, citizens last, country last.

7. Sorry to hear that and the circumstances are sad.
I'd like to see an online memorial for those who have died, (and will die) because they could not afford proper health care or their medications. It is the kind of travesty that I find repugnant when there is enough health care, yet it is not distributed in a caring way, for its own sake, rather than as a means to profit.

Those who died so the deadbeat rich can thrive. :(

For anyone in that situation, in the area of BP meds, there a lot of good generics available. I get a 90-day supply from Costco (you don't need a membership) in the mail (so you don't even need to be close to one) for less than $10 a month. They have the best deal on a lot of meds.
