Rielle Hunter, John Edwards Wedding Planned
Creep.

John Edwards has "reportedly" asked mistress Rielle Hunter to marry him, according to tabloid magazine The National Enquirer.

The Hollywood Gossip has a screenshot of the latest issue of the Enquirer, the publication that broke the original story about Edwards's liaison with Hunter, his campaign videographer, and predicts that the two might tie the knot this summer, if at all.

5. Elizabeth knew damn well this would happen after she died...which is why
she made sure that NONE of her belongings went to John.

I'm sure Rielle would have LOVED inheriting her wedding dress and wearing it when she and John took their holy vows...

I think Elizabeth decided she wouldn't watch them get married while there was breath in her body.

92. Not according to Karen Finney, Elizabeth's friend. She said on MSNBC
one day, shortly after the news came out that Elizabeth was dying , that they didn't divorce so that Elizabeth could keep her Health Insurance during her fight with cancer, and that even then, the insurance company tried to deny her coverage. Karen was quite upset about that fact. No, I don't have a link, I'm just quoting from memory. I was quite surprised that an insurance company would do that to Elizabeth.

15. Good. Maybe he'll be a decent father to his new son. Maybe he's learned a thing or two
about using people and the painful consequences of it. I never liked him. From the first time I heard him speak I thought he was a phony. But I also don't think he's all bad. I think he's weak, and egotistical, but I think somewhere he has a heart that makes him care. Sadly, it's been too much of an abstract type caring, and not enough of a personal type caring, but maybe this will be good for him, and most importantly, maybe it will be best for his son. At least his son will have a chance to make up his own mind about his father.

Beyond that, it's none of my business unless he runs for office again.

And then also makes her humiliate herself in public for his own personal gain.

He has that type of caring.

What, exactly, do you or anyone else know about how his marriage was going? It's NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. 78. Well, you seem to care an awful lot about their business
As you said, 'how do YOU know how their marriage was going'? Every cheating spouse always tells the fool he's cheating with how awful his marriage is. If it was that bad, he should have just gotten a divorce but it looks like he wanted to keep his marriage going so it can't have been that bad.

Frankly, Elizabeth was always too good for him. I never liked him and often wondered what she saw in him. She is the one who should have run for office.

As for him marrying what's-her-name, they deserve each other and I hope they fade off into oblivion.

61. I find it interesting that John Edwards' personal life
Edited on Thu Jan-06-11 08:02 PM by Blue_In_AK
receives so much more negative attention than any of the other adulterers in public life. Giuliani, McCain, Vitter, Ensign, Spitzer, Gingrich, Clinton, on and on ad infititum. I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't more adulterers in positions of power in our government than men who are faithful to their wives. John Kennedy, for heaven's sakes, or FDR. Adulterers all, and yet John Edwards is the only one worthy of these continual attacks.

I just don't get it.

66. they deserve each other
and they'll be tabloid fodder for the next two years, when they break up and con tinue to be tabloid fodder until they die. His "other" kids must be grossed out. Can't wait 'til the does the inevitable interview talking about how, with this baby, he gets to do parenting right and enjoy it.

69. Wait, he's a BIGGER creep for marrying her?
I'm kinda lost. I mean, I think he's stupid, but not a creep.

84. I would have waited for the body to cool off, you know...
Less than one month after the funeral is a little unseemly, but whatever!

73. I was never a fan of either John or Elizabeth Edwards
...didn't care for either of them back in the day. However, I see this as a lose-lose proposition for him. He could do right by the younger children he had with Elizabeth, or he can do right by the child he had with Rielle. Not that it's anyone's business... However, maybe he could be daddy to all of his children, without a lot of strangers pontificating about how it should be.

Elizabeth's Will was normal. Hell, my parents are happily married, 50+ years. However, my mom's Will specifically sets out certain family assets to give to me and her sister and her sister's heirs. Otherwise, my Dad gets the rest, as he should.

82. Good luck with all that, Rielle.
Just try to not throw up a little bit when he recites the "forsaking all others" bit in the wedding vows.
