Also David Duchovny, Steve Phillips, and Michael Douglas.

Perhaps they can visit him in the sex addiction clinic and give him some tips to help in his recovery.

He should also consider a prayer breakfast with some big-name preacher, like Bill Clinton did after the Monica thing. Imagine: Weiner, Tiger Woods and Billy Graham joining hands, confessing their sins, and asking for forgiveness. This could go a long way to help convince everyone that Weiner is simply an innocent victim of a medical disorder (sex addiction), as opposed to some perverted creep who likes to tweet photos of his erect cock to random women while his wife is away.

1. Are you being sincere? You certainly haven't seen to give a shit about Weiner before.

Your last sentence sure seems like you're just using the opening suggestion as a way to mock him.

3. I'm hoping that Patrick Kennedy will come to Anthony Weiner's defense.
Patrick Kennedy has been working with groups and doctors to help promote mental health/addiction research.

I must say that I have laughed along with most folks at all the Weiner jokes on late night tv, but if Weiner has a online sex addiction then it really is 'no laughing matter'.

I've heard Dr. Laura Berman speak on one of the news shows about how online sex addiction is not uncommon, etc. and she approached the Weiner issue as a medical professional with an open mind.

There needs to be more 'serious' talk about the issue and less joking and pearl clutching.

Just my two cents.

6. All these men have physically been with women so they might
not have much in common with Weiner....Weiner may function best from a distance?

8. That's good. Weiner's affliction might be called "Stage 2" sex addiction.
"Stage 1" would be simple online flirtation with someone other than your spouse. "Stage 2" would be tweeting your erect penis. "Stage 3" might be actual phone sex, and "Stage 4
would be like Tiger Woods. So it's actually a good thing that Weiner's sex addiction was caught at a relatively early stage. Who knows what it might have progressed to?

11. Maybe he's traveling backwards from not finding fullfillment
in relationships with females in a one on one, or even dating a few different women at the same time.
He just may be a guy who isn't into close encounters?

10. Duchovny, Phillips, Douglas...
He could ask John Boehner, too. I heard he isn't schtupping lobbyist Leigh Lamore anymore.

13. Weiner doesn't need professional help for an addiction
anymore than someone who likes to go to topless bars and likes to watch porn.

14. Engaging in increasingly reckless behavior that you can't stop is very different
than occasionally watching porn or going to a topless bar.
