For a few hours, anyway, I'm going to refer to certain republicans collectively. Boehner, McConnell, Cantor, Ryan, Kyl, Sessions, Rohrabacker, Bachmann, Foxx, Palin, Gingrich, Santorum, Gommert, Perry, Walker, all of 'em -- they will be referred to as "Gallbladder".

This will give me something to enigmatically smile about as they put me under to remove said organ tomorrow. And, yes, my surgeon will ask what the smile was for.

Gotta take your grins where you find them.

by the way, running that list of names through spellcheck was a special hoot...

2. when I had my EGD
they asked me "who is President of the United States?" after I woke up, and I was not gonna say "George W. Bush". I said "I think it is Al Gore, even though it was 2005 and it should have been John Kerry. The nurse laughed at that, but they turned against me when I had to fight my way out the hospital on my birthday.

3. Back in 2001
they asked me that question when they brought me out from under. I answered "Shrub!", then heard my sister say, "She's back."

6. They asked my brother that after he had his stroke.
Very forcefully, he said, "AL GORE."

The nurse knew he was all right.

4. Had mine out 15 years ago!
It was a piece of cake. I was eating kfc and peanut butter cups 4 hours after surgery. :) Good luck to you. I was so scared beforehand, but it was a real easy surgery for me.

5. I would call the collective: appendix -- utterly useless, yet potentially life-threatening.
Good luck on the surgery!
