A Economic lesson: Greece piles on austerity measures, economy dives
Edited on Sun Jun-12-11 02:14 PM by lovuian
(Reuters) - Greece's economy shrank far more than expected at the start of 2011, signalling a second wave of austerity measures prescribed by the EU and IMF will pile even more pain on a fractious society.

Austere measures only make the economy worse
the people poor and jobless

and the rich richer

Is this the Answer Republicans?

1. Yes, it is the answer to them.....
Make the poor more desperate and the rich richer. It's a win/win situation for them.

And sadly, far too many Dems as well, including it seems our austerity minded President.

3. its economic warfare that is what it is ...trying to steal a
countries assets and make its people destitute

it is ONLY PAPER

Iceland will prove that this is just a illusion

Just because a few hundred guys in the Government says ok give us the money and we will be your slaves
doesn't mean the PEOPLE agreed to it

2. The only thing that wouldn't make the rich richer is paying the greek debt by printing euros
Austerity is a knife to the throat of workers. Bleeding them so the rich can feed on it.

6. Yep ...it reminds me of King John taxing the people to death
for his war machine and comfortable palace

They want serfs ...debt slaves that is what Greece is

and by Austere measures that makes them poorer ...reduce wages reduce their housing up their food prices

make them Beggars

just because of a few corrupt guys

Now if Greece has any gold well I'm sure her debtors will be glad to take it off their hands

but then its not really Greece they are after ...its Spain Italy Ireland Portugal ...and then Germany and France...they must pay for their brothers and sisters in the European Union

It is all economic warfare and its an illusion

4. We never hear about the UK. Austerity measure has them dangling
on a precipice about to fall back into a Double Dip.

Did they cut to fast and too deep?
The Bond Mkts made them cut deep than Cameron
had planned.

Me thinks we had better think long and hard before
going Austere in this country. Hope GOP keep up
with new in other countries.

8. If I were Greece, I'd pull out of the
EU. Follow Iceland's example.

Pretty soon they'll force Greece to sell the Acropolis and some of its islands. Privatizing ends in slavery.

The only reason we're not in the same boat is we can print our own money and Greece can't. China is probably going to stop allowing the Dollar to be the world's reserve currency.

Hey can you spare a few yuan? lol...well, it's really not funny.

9. Well, we knew that when they announced what they were
going to do and Republicans in this country are running for office with the same failed policies as their campaign issues.

Those who don't learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them.
