Harold Camping, Man Who Predicted Judgment Day's Arrival Suffers Stroke

ALAMEDA, Calif., June 12 (UPI) -- Harold Camping, the Oakland, Calif., radio evangelist who garnered media attention after predicting the end of the world, suffered a stroke, a neighbor said.

"He had a stroke, it was on his right side," said the neighbor, who declined to give her name.

Camping, 89, was taken Thursday night by ambulance from his Alameda home to a local hospital, The Oakland Tribune reported Saturday.

The neighbor's husband spoke Friday with Camping's wife, Shirley.

"His speech appears to be a little bit slurred but otherwise he's OK," the neighbor said. " said he was doing good ... and the only thing that's affected is his speech."

"The only thing that was affected was his speech." Maybe that is what the "day of judgement" is. I'm happy the man can't talk anymore. He scared a lot of people with that mouth.

7. I was a nervous child and had all sorts of fears. Thank God my parents

did not take me to that kind of church when I was a kid. I made that stupid mistake later on when I went to college though and yes they are abusive! So yes, the man can't speak his abusive words now. Good.
