Poll question: Did Glen Beck advocate murdering the President?
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/06/15/985303/-Glenn-Beck:Why-Buy-A-Gun-then-points-at-Obama-photo?via=siderec

<snip>

...blaming Obama again for civil unrest, food shortages, and of threatening to take your guns away. Then he asks his rhetorical question "Why would you get a gun" and guess who pops up on his TV screen but the President and close adviser Cass Sunstein to whom he immediately points with arm outstretched and answers his own question, stating "To prepare for tough times."

1. He's planting implicit suggestions
in the unconscious of the public. That's how it's done. You don't need to form logical connections between ideas, just temporally contiguous ones. In neural terms, "what fires together, wires together." Yes, this is a sinister act.

3. He's been doing that since Obama got into office, if not before.
There's a large segment of the rabid right which would love for a "lone wolf" to take it into their head to do something. Jared Loughner was just too small in his thinking for them.

5. Charge him with sedition
Charge him as an enemy combatant and lock his ass up. What is the point of Obama continuing Bush's policies if he is only going to use them against Democrats?

6. I watched the video and voted yes
However, he should only be charged with the second option, since a good lawyer could get him off if the government were to go for advocating assassination.

For lurking right wing nuts: Yes, I seriously believe the government has a case against Beck.

7. I watched the video twice and say NO
If anyone here thinks he is, then by all means report it.

Then sit and wonder why, as time goes by, he has not been arrested.

A PLOT????

Some big government conspiracy???

Yeah, that's it. A conspiracy.

Just as ridiculous as the birther conspiracy. The government KNOWS Obama isn't a citizen, but dammit, there are just too many out to protect him. Even Republicans, by god!!!!!

:eyes:

So go ahead. Report him. Just don't hold your collective breaths waiting for an arrest. It's the conspiracy!!!!111!!!

8. I watched the video and it is a conclusive yes. Using visual communication tools like
'correspondence' is common in design. You don't need to be Marshall McLuhan to see that the timing of his words, gestures, and the image of Obama are clearly coordinated.

Plausible deniability, of course.
