Weiner Tells Friends He Will Step Down

WASHINGTON — Representative Anthony D. Weiner has told friends that he plans to resign his seat after coming under growing pressure from his Democratic colleagues to leave the House in the wake of revelations of his lewd online exchanges with women, said a person told of Mr. Weiner’s plans.

The news comes as Democratic leaders prepared to hold a meeting on Thursday to discuss whether to strip the 46-year-old Congressman of his committee assignments, a blow which would severely damage his effectiveness.

Mr. Weiner, a Democrat, came to the conclusion that he could no longer serve after having long discussions with his wife, Huma Abedin, when she returned home on Tuesday after traveling abroad with her boss, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Pressure on Mr. Weiner to leave the House has been building for days, with top House Democrats, including Representative Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leader, coming forward over the weekend publicly urge him to spare himself, his family and his party any more embarrassment.

6. Just Two Kinds Of People
Those that have been caught
And those that have not been caught

Weiner falls and Thomas skates.
Velcome to America. The rules are different here.

9. Yeah, we wouldn't want Pelosi to have to declare yet another
thing "off the table".

11. One thing you are missing....Dems demand that Weiner resign.
It would follow that we look into the cyber accounts of all Dems until we have rid ourselves of every imperfection. In the end we will have a clean closet! EMPTY but clean! I say look at them all if they are so brave to demand that he resign when others across the isle are committing actual crimes. Dems searching for the perfect will be the end of us.

I have a saying. The picture is a Rethug *acking off while pointing at someone else yelling, 'Hey, he's *acking off!" That is what they do! Every time a Rethug is hollering you check the hand! We are a weak party and it is disgusting. Learn to fight or sit down.

15. How about we just focus on people who LIE about their behavior?
...and hold them accountable when their lies are made public?

17. And Boner and Vitter and ....on and on!
What do you not get about the fact that a Rethug NEVER resigns of his own accord. Never! What you want is the perfect, what you will get is an empty closet. Trust me when they are done with twitter they will get out High School year books ans see who had low morals then and demand resignation. Think I am fooling? Look at Planned Parenthood, now the Pill and even closing schools for 'unwed mothers". Go figure. We have been bombed back to the dark ages by folks who screw their lobbyist, lie about their wives incomes, *hit their diapers at the illegal prostitute visits. All the while you are searching for the perfect. Good luck with that.

14. Yes the rally was really exciting
since they won't go after Thomas.

I really thought Wiener's voters should decide if he should go or stay...
