Obamacare
I finally figured out why they hate it. I did this while reading an oped by Carl Rove in todays WSJ.

If employers drop their health care plans en masse and people are forced to buy it on their own either the government will have to step in or premiums will have to be reduced significantly.

Right now employers are subsidizing UHC. The government won't. they will just open up medicare to all.

1. Please don't call it Obamacare.
Don't use their framing.

3. I like calling it Obamacare. As the People begin to realize the benefits...
...the Repukes are going to regret naming it that.

8. Obama signed it.
Period. When this becomes a great plan, and is universal for all americans, then I bet you wouldn't have any problem calling it Obamacare. I just don't like the hypocrisy here sometimes, that's all.

9. Yes, he did sign it. And it has some good parts.
It is not universal health care, though. That is what we need. As for hypocrisy here, you'll have to be more specific. It's a big forum, with a long history.

2. Obamacare?
Why use the Republican term? Let's not let the GOP dictate how we discuss things, OK?

It's a first step toward universal coverage.

6. No. Actually, it is not. And what HCR ended up being
was not what Obama wanted. It ended up being a kludge created by a wishy-washy Congress that could not decide what to do, so they created a big mess instead of a solution.

Obamacare is the wrong name for what we got. HCR is better than nothing, but far from what it should have been. I will not use the Republican's terms for things, ever. I will call them out when others do so.
