LOL! 2 GOP (Perry, Tony Sutton) use same "prophet in the home town" Bible dog whistle
Some RNC dweeb had the task of looking up some Bible thing to say when anybody pointed out that these potential Republican presidential candidates are not popular in their home states.

Republican Governor Rick Perry of Texas responded “a prophet is generally not loved in their hometown” when Fox News’ Neil Cavuto questioned why he was more popular outside of his state than within it.

From Minnesota to Massachusetts, the governors and Members of Congress who make up the evolving Republican field acknowledge that a path to general election victory might not include their home states.
Even the GOP's rising stars who continue to be part of the presidential chatter, such as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, draw poor marks back home.
"I'm not a biblical scholar, but didn't Christ say a prophet is not beloved in his hometown?" asked Tony Sutton, chairman of the Republican Party in Minnesota, the launching pad for two Republican candidates this cycle. "But I don't think that makes any difference in a national election."

2. Why no they didn't! Is this going to be like
"I'll take him at his word" (when asked about Obama's birth place) when they all start saying the same off the wall comment? I remember then specifically asking "yes or no" and they'd all say "I'll take him at his word" which I suppose is Freeper code for "I DON'T BELIEVE IT" without actually having the courage to say that....

6. Ah, the old battlecry
"Dems want to take your guns and your Bibles"

It's a classic.

5. And the comeback should be: "So you are claiming to be a prophet?"
That should make the wanker stammer.
