It's sadly ironic that on the same day Anthony Weiner finally acquiesced to the demands of his party leadership that he step down for having embarrassed them with icky pictures, the GAO released this report:



I'm sure Breitbart's got his next set of victims all lined up. And remember, it won't do you any good to just be "smarter" or "more moral" than anyone else because it doesn't even have to be true.

If Bill Clinton could weather the storm for nine years, unless some lower profile Dem has committed a felony, they should be able to survive too if they just stay in the boat.

the next stage, after the AW wrap up, and before the next manufactured controversy, will be hand-wringing, and pretend self examination by the media, and exclamations, debates and sighing about the media perpetuating and creating the news.

But there were so many.

Not once have Democrats stood up this creep. No matter whether the people were innocent or not. When Breitbart speaks, Democrats leap into action and immediately fire whoever he is pointing a finger at.

The list is long and shameful.

In the aftermath of his vicious and for the most part, lying smears of innocent people, when Bloggers, because it's never the MSM, get to the truth, the innocent victims of Breitbart and his rightwing organiztion, have to defend themselves, like Shirley Sherrod and Juan Carlos Vera, and try to restore their reputations without much help from the Democrats who helped him destroy them.

Both of those innocent victims of Breitbart are now suing him. Both were fired from their jobs and even though ACORN has been completely exonerated, and especially Juan Carlos Very, as well as Shirley Sherrod, there are still many people who believe they did something wrong.

We are still waiting for the Dems to apologize publicly to ACORN and the many, many people who were adversely affected by their backing of Breitbart/O'Keefe lies about them. They don't even have the decency to do that.

EVERY public figure is/can be a target.

The more powerful/vocal one is, the bigger target they become.

Google "yellow journalism"..

It's nothing new.

They define justice, they define truth, they define what is news and what is not, which demonstrators to quote on TV, who our enemies are, and what war crimes to ignore.

Being slapped with a stupid virtual sex scandal is just the cherry on top of this cake. Just a reminder.

Back then, the right wing formula was to just kill off the right people.
