I am going to sit on my computer and email every major news outlet I can come up with.
Then I will email the major newspapers.
Then I will call.

I will do everything in my power to make sure the MSM covers that scandal 24/7.

Never again will I sit here and wonder why Vitter doesn't have to resign and wonder why anyone other than Rachel Maddow isn't covering it.

I agree with Rachel. Weiner didn't resign for bad behavior. He had to resign because of the press coverage of that behavior.

No - I don't condone what he did.

What I do condone is the double standard in the media.

2. Media's so in love with noise...
Let's face it, the media enabled the tea party and Sarah Palin. When the Weiner scandal broke, I listened with disgust as normally comatose members of the press shouted out questions and got all indignant, and then of course there were the garden-variety jerks who worked the thing.

May every last one of them have their peccadilloes taken out for an airing 24/7.

I'm with you. Sit on the crappy corporate media AND the 'cans until they cry, "Uncle!"

...why not ask Rep Chris Lee what he thinks?

Oh, right, he did the same thing and got forced out.

15. No - what I am talking about is quite the opposite. But if you want to sit back and watch the
media concentrate on every little thing a Democrat does wrong and ignore when Repubs do something wrong...

Go right ahead.

If enough people decide to get involved, we could make a difference.

21. I think what you propose is honorable but...
it really does seem futile unless enough people can put enough time and energy into doing it that it makes a difference.

How much time and energy do you plan on devoting to this pursuit? Do you have a family? A job? Hobbies? Commitments?

How long do you figure it will take of nearly constant onslaught before we would see results? A week? A month? A year? A decade?

How many people do you think it would take to make an impact?

A few dozen here on DU?

Will you use social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) to get the message out to hundreds of thousands...perhaps millions...of people?

Do you condemn people who can't...or just don't want to...devote that much time and energy to something that may not work in the end?

What are your plans, besides denigrating anybody who thinks this could be an exercise in futility?

16. We've got to hit Mitt
on the vote he cast for Scott Brown out of his kid's basement. Voting fraud is something the Repukes say they care about deeply.

17. That's exactly correct!
The media Bill Clintoned him. Unfortunately, he Bill Clintoned himself and helped them.

I don't condone this either. Anthony should have known better and exhibited better judgment. The media grabbed this like a junkyard dog with a bone and pounded the public with top priority talking points. What concerns me is who will they take down next?

20. "Like a junkyard dog with a bone."
Beautiful description.

By the way, the thing that sticks in my head is that the so-called DC Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, died by her own hand.

David Vitter, on her client list, not only lives but enjoys all the power, prestige, and benefits of a U.S. senator.

19. Actually those 3rd way Dems gunned for Weiner the hardest.
I'm on board for Repub and 3rd Way Dems. Which pretty much covers everyone but true progressives, Schumer and Rangel. Pelosi, Reid, Obama, McCarthy, Schulz and any other Dem that jumped on that Condemnation Train can twist.
