Rachel's Rant
She's so right. Why are Dems so quick to throw each other under the bus? No laws were broken. For chrissakes we have actual criminals serving in Congress.

There is no greater crime than taking pictures of yourself being an idiot. And he was an idiot.

But Dems are bigger idiots by calling for the resignation of the most vocal liberal in Congress.

Republicans - #WINNING.

1. He wasn't an idiot where it counted

I can think of about 200 more idiotic members of Congress where it really counts.

He want after Corporate America's man on the Supreme Court. And that could not be tolerated.

To try and make you think you have to be like them, to 'win'.

And not about only Republicans, there are many people that might 'think they are winning'

We shall see who has the last laugh.

Although I do like the name Rhea.

RE
Ha.

Then again Derek Halfhand, is a good name also.

Robert Eastwood.

And the beer and travel money will be sent.

4. Cenk read it from the republican handbook to get rid of libs
And the dems walked right into the mud and got stupid. The repugs are brilliant strategists that is why they can sell the brooklyn bridge of economic plans to the american people and they win so many disgusting, anti-american ideas. Pick a target. Identify the strong voice on an issue, seek out the weak points and dive in once revealed. The people have lost a strong outspoken advocate who was willing to talk truth to power and it is the dems who lost, lost big today. and in-spite of what Ed Schultz said, if Weiner does have the will to return, it could be too late. We the people need him now. And Elliot Spitzer was a bull dog, a champion of the people and his cable show is not any where near as effective as the guy who could bring down WALL STREET criminals and make the weasels shake in their boots.

5. They target strong jawlines
Spitzer and Weiner. Can't have any of that - all Dems must resemble Alan Colmes.

8. Spitzer actually broke the law..
and was hypocritical in that he had prosecuted crimes involving prostitution. He may have been railroaded, but it's hard to defend him.

Weiner is a different story. He never should have resigned. Democrats are idiots for pushing him out.

6. "Why are Dems so quick to throw each other under the bus?"
That's an excellent question, especially in this forum.

Not to disagree with Rachel, but did she happen to mention that this little episode has sucked the air out of the Ryan Budget debate? Which, by the way, Dems were successfully tying around the neck of every Republican that mattered. Not to mention it stepped all over the Dem's recent victory in NY-26. Those should have been the headlines. For three weeks now, this crap has been either a headline or a lead-in story.

Weiner FINALLY did the right thing, whether he felt pressure or not. Had he stayed, there would have been a constant drip, drip, drip of new allegations whether they were true or not. Every woman looking for a reality teevee show would have latched onto Weiner's sinking ship, until there was absolutely nothing of substance left.

It's a sad end to his political career, but it is an end.
