Oh My Joe Scum just realizes that infrastructure is important
Sounds like Obama's State of the Union speech

5. He was praising Eisenhower's Interstate HIghway initiative as an example
of a government investment in infrastructure that has paid off enormously in the years since the Interstate was built (a government project). He was talking about China today with Dr. Jeffrey Sachs who had just returned from China and was talking about their new train linking cities far apart in China.

Sachs said Obama's funding of "shovel ready" state projects was not a good use of money...

10. Jeffrey Sachs?
Sachs was an early advocate of shock doctrine...apparently he's "reformed" but his version of his past efforts is from a very selective memory. Wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.

14. I don't know much about him apart from his MJ appearances and he has been
sounding pretty progressive for the past year or so on Joe's show...

4. After ten years, they finally ask, what are we doing in Afghanistan?
And there was innocent mention of "gee, we didn't find those WMDs!"

These are the same people who were cheerleading under Dubya every time a bomb was dropped or boots hit the ground. Suddenly we need clear objectives and definite exit dates. Gee, not too hypocritical are they?

At least Sachs changed his mind after he fucked up Eastern Europe

9. What did he do to Eastern Europe? I don't know much about Sachs but
on Morning Joe he has often championed progressive policies. I believe he was to the left of Obama on health care reform. So I always listen to what he has to say...

18. Egad, that's a semester of graduate level Econ right there!
It's interesting. I knew nothing about his stance with Shock Therapy but only what I have seen of him on Morning Joe. He comes across as a progressive on MJ. So I am wondering if he has evolved...

21. OK, I'm relieved...I thought maybe I was hearing things when I listen to him on MJ.
He seems so reasonable, altho I feel that he holds back when conversing with Joe. He seems not to want to reveal what he really thinks...and he smiles a lot...

8. His car frame bent in a pothole?
Why the interest now? It has to be something that affects him personally.

11. These RW "free market" fantasists only "get it" when their own lives are affected.
They want what they want when they want it. They are oblivious to how stupid it makes them look and they ignore the fact that we have his public record on so many of these issues...I just wish he could produce some videotape of him actually challenging Bush on his two wars...personally, I don't think they exist (except maybe in Joe's delusional brain).

12. And they want it right now!
And I don't think Scum did either....he was busy trying to cover up his part in the death of his intern in his office.

16. Joe is annoying, but he supported focusing the "stimulus" money on "Green Infrastructure" from
the start.

22. Anybody with a brain cell operating would support "green infrastructure."
I didn't hear him talk about it, tho. I guess I wasn't listening closely enough...
