I wonder how many WI Repubs are switching to DEM so they can vote for the fake Dems in the primary
If they are willing to run a fake dem in the primaries I have no doubt that some people will switch parties to vote for the fake dems. The right is very sneaky and has shown they have no morals when it comes to politics. I would not be surprised if party switching is not something they are willing to try.

2. Wouldn't that split the GOP vote?
I think the Democratic Party in WI needs to really get the word out that this is happening. They were very effective in getting the recall signatures. Now they need to stay on top of the election and make sure the people know who the real Democrats are.

5. We are. This was discussed at our county membership meeting last night.
The state party was there and OFA were there. We are treating the primaries and generals for the recall as 2 separate elections that require our full resources. OFA has dedicated ALL local (and some national) resources to helping with these recalls. This is important. We need to GOTV like never ever before.

I encourage everyone who is able to help these fine candidates: http://www.wisdems.org/candidates

And keep helping.

10. No... the repubs are running fake democrats in the primaries
with the hope they will beat the real dem. Probably the only way it would work is if the republicans reregistered as democrats, voted on the primary for the fake democrat so that the election in August would have a republican vs. a fake democrat. Then all the republicans and the republicans who switched to democrat vote for the real republican. The fake democrat's purpose is to weaken or beat the real democrat.

12. No. Not in a primary to select the candidate that will go up against the
republican.

15. Okay, I get it now.
When we had the recall election in CA everything was on one ballot. There were no primaries. There was one part that had something like "Should Gray Davis be recalled?"

Then there was the selection of candidates to replace him if enough people voted for the recall. THe selection of candidates was well over 200 names.

If you voted "No" on the recall you could still vote for a candidate to replace Davis. It was a real circus and we ended up with an action hero movie star as Governor. :eyes:

3. They don't have to do anything to switch
There is no registration by party in Wisconsin, so when you vote, you just choose one side of the ballot or the other (but not both).

6. They don't have to switch, and the threat is real....
...they're highly mobilized and have a core of zealots who will vote.

Our side needs to be just as dedicated. If we focus on getting people out to vote, we'll win.

These People have not changed their collective mind.
