The band I was in played a few shows with his band "The Red Bank Rockers" back in the early '80s, one at his club, Big Man's West.

He was really nice and down to earth. It was all about the music and fun for him

4. ohhhhhhhh no...
I'm so sorry.

Some of the best rock and roll... Probably the best rock and roll shows I've ever seen were Bruce and the E Street Band. God, we were hoarse and nearly deaf for a day after a show.

What a great entertainer the Big Man was! Rest in peace big man.

12. Absolutely!
Saw them quite a few times in the mid-'70s. Their live show was one of the best on the road at the time. Everyone in the band was right on the money. They had the genius lighting designer, Marc Brickman doing spectacular stage lighting, and Clarence on sax was always a show-stopper.

RIP!

17. definitely
... right on the money.

Clemons was astonishing. How he could be such a presence on that stage yet never upstage Bruce.

He was one for the ages. I'll never forget him and the joy he brought to us.

5. What a downer - Rosalita, come out
Thunder Road...

"Oh Sandy, the aurora is rising behind us.."

CC provided much of the music to the poems I was raised on.
