Labor: The great equalizer against the monopoly of the rich!

http://www.unionist.com/today-in-labor-history

The Women’s Day Massacre in Youngstown, Ohio, when police use tear gas on women and children, including at least one infant in his mother's arms, during a strike at Republic Steel. One union organizer later recalled, "When I got there I thought the Great War had started over again. Gas was flying all over the place and shots flying and flares going up and it was the first time I had ever seen anything like it in my life..." - 1937

We need more than waiting every two or four years for an election to come around and hoping our candidates will change things for the better. Take it easy, but take it!

4. A lot of Americans hate unions, but do not know the history of unions and what they fought for.

11. 30 years of brainwashing...
a whole generation has grown up being told how evil unions are. I have never been in a union, but when youngins start running their mouth, I gently inform them of the things we take for granted that people bled and died for. It is a good opportunity to suggest they read "The Jungle", also.
