1. Post 13 is actually pretty funny.
But seriously- makes you wonder what JimBob uses that Freepathon money for, eh? Same site format for years, no upgrades, goes down like that.

16. I'm laughing at 13 now.
Regarding the horrible site in general, why aren't there more complaints? Not about the general lack of aesthetics which FReepers probably don't recognize, but everything else? Do they like being ripped off? Or are they proud to do their part to ensure Rimjob can afford to maintain his second yacht?

2. "Service Temporarily Unavailable "
"The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later"

just a coincidence?

12. Anybody can get ads
But I think he read somewhere he refuses to take them. Either way, I don't know why he doesn't dump the current site.

4. Number 14 is kinda creepy...
"Obama was born in Hawaii, but he's not a natural-born citizen."

Huh?

6. I don't understand that one either
I have no idea what they must think it takes to be a natural born citizen

7. "natural born" = white for a lot of these folks.

8. I suspect they might sum up their requirement as 'white'
if they were being honest. Anyone who is now acknowledging he was born in Hawaii, but still thinks that doesn't make him born an American (especially with an American citizen as a mother) is objecting on racial grounds.

13. Many of them believe that in order to be a natural born citizen of the US
not one, but both of your parents must be citizens as well. Since President Obama's father was from Kenya and, I believe, technically a subject of the British crown at the time of President Obama's birth, President Obama cannot be a natural born citizen. Never mind of course that this belief is wrong, that's what they believe and trumpet to the world.

19. The same people scream about "anchor babies"
You know the theory: these Evil Pregnant Messicans are all running to Texas to have their babies, who will immediately become US citizens (birthright citizenship) and will do two things:

they will keep the parents from getting deported, because you can't deport an American citizen and a newborn can't take care of itself
they will eventually be able to sponsor their parents' citizenship

The thing is, if these Evil Pregnant Messican Babies are instantly natural born citizens even though neither of their parents are citizens of the US at all, why the hell don't they think Obama, who was born in the US and has at least one citizen parent, is? The reality of the situation is, the only reason they're complaining at all is...well, imagine Gabby Hayes sitting on the roof of Howard Johnson's ice cream parlor with a spyglass screaming "no, god damn blammit, I said the president is a nit!" (Now where can we get President Obama a set of Gucci saddlebags for his horse?)

18. That's one subculture within the birther movement.
These birthers argue that Obama was born in Hawaii and is a U.S. citizen, but was also, at the time of his birth, a British citizen or eligible for British citizenship, because his father was a British subject. (Kenya was then still a colony.) Thus, Obama had "dual allegiance" at birth. Therefore, although he's a citizen, he's not a "natural-born citizen" within the meaning of the Constitution, and so is ineligible for the Presidency.

This argument has no basis in the Constitution itself, of course.

An amusing side note is that these people would make eligibility for the Presidency dependent on the decisions of a foreign government. If, shortly before Obama's birth, the UK had changed its laws so that a child in his situation had no UK citizenship rights, then their argument would collapse.

10. I don't see why they correlate the probs with Netflix to their own shitty site. But these are the

sort of people who need 3 calls to tech support to guide them through checking their e-mail so who knows.

I suspect theres a blown tube somewhere in their server...

11. I don't know why RimJob doesn't let someone setup a vBulletin or IPB site
I think you can even pay IPB to host it. It will certainly reduce his costs. Running that old dinosaur must be pricey and time consuming. Just archive the old dump and move everyone to the new software.

It must be horrible designed and coded if it can't handle a few thousand simultaneous users.

15. There are probably rules you have to follow with either service
Like not hosting a bulletin board that incites hate, violence, etc. His board would be banned within the first hours.

Why he doesn't install phpBB or some other free script is beyond me as well but who cares...

I thought it was in hospice care for some time now. I hope someone pins a sign there that states: "DO NOT RESUSCITATE".
