The National Hurricane Center shows no tropical cyclone activity
in the Atlantic or Caribbean at this time.

All East Coasters stay safe.

2. Probably.
Quite possibly not a good season, but at least the la Nina has gone, although some of its effects will linger.

La Ninas are correlated with stronger hurricane seasons; el Ninos with weaker ones.

One effect I'm looking forward to losing is the below-average rainfall/above-average temperatures in the South and South-Central US. I'm sure that another that others are looking forward to losing are the reverse conditions in the North.

Now if the Arctic Oscillation would sort itself out, perhaps we could get back to something approaching normal.

3. We could use a good tropical storm or even a Cat 1 hurricane.
In order to soak the ground. Drought conditions here in Florida.

I'd love a good tropical storm right now.

4. I was riding the motorcycle yesterday, and saw a dark cloud. Nothing came of it.
The Suwannee River in my area (north central Fla) is mostly puddles.

I have a house w/ 4 acres, and an empty mobile home on a separate lot (2 acres) that no one can afford to buy. I've only mowed these two yards twice (each) this year. Formerly they both had a good growth of Pensacola Bahaia grass, but even that is beginning to fail.
