I just discovered I have Current TV on my cable system
I have Bright House Cable. It's not listed on their site but I have it. I'm glad I looked. :)

1. I know that I don't. The problem is, to get Current, I'd have to switch to Verizon.
And I have a hard time thinking of switching to them.

4. I couldn't wait to get rid of DISH and get Comcast
I haven't lost cable service in the 8+ years I've had Comcast but in the 5 previous years with DISH I lost service in every rain or wind storm. I live in Western Washington and it rains and blows almost constantly from October through March. There were months where I had more days withoout service than with.

9. Ditto on the lack of weather issues in SoCal...
I can see that in places like WA or any place where the weather can get "between" you and the satellite, there could be trouble. But for me, I love Dish because of their channel groupings, when I am over at friends homes their channel placement seems a lot more random.

8. Yes, I had Dish for many years, but I became fed up
with losing reception every time there was bad weather. So finally, I switched to Comcast. I have had it for the past couple of years and have no problem with reception (unless the squirrels chew on cables outside and then there is a problem).

10. we had directv and i could tell a storm was coming becasue we would lose our signal before the rain
would come. lol. then it would come back. we'd also have to go out and clean the snow off the dish. luckily i could reach it from the ground. my husband installed directv though so we got the basic service. we kept it after he left until we ditched it and went off air in november and also got a roku and do internet streaming with netflix. i always got a kick out of the commercials with the hurricane where they supposedly got crystal clear reception (directv)... but my signal went out before the rain even got here. hehe.

14. I live just north of Mt. Baker and we have no trouble
getting DISH. Trees and mountains directly south of the house. In our experience Comcast can't compare.
