4. I never could understand why MSNBC didn't rerun all their "stars" instead of the awful programming
they have on the weekends. Sometimes people miss shows the first time around and would enjoy them on other days and times.

9. probably money
Current can't afford lots of unique programming yet. MSNBC probably can show the weekend junk for less money than they would have to pay Rachel et al. in royalties for showing reruns. And maybe they get a different audience that the advertisers want for the crapola shows.

10. Because rerunning news a few days later doesn't work. NT

5. The only problem is
The rest of their schedule is *also* reruns on a loop. It's the same 2-3 documentaries per day, continuously on a loop. Gives no incentive to watch the channel more than 3-4 hours per day. It's a great programming strategy to make sure your viewers see your shows, but a terrible way to keep your viewers on your channel for long periods of time.

6. Now, admittedly
If you're spending more than a few hours watching television, that's a wholly different problem. But just from the perspective of television as a business, it's not good strategy.

8. Current TV is just getting started.
There's a new documentary tonight at 9 pm (heroin). It will be interesting to see what advertisers KO has.

7. Yeah, it sucks. For some reason my tivo wants to record all of them!
and yes, I selected only first runs.

11. Same problem here. I had to manually get rid of the extras.
It's the listings TiVo gets from Tribune that are messed up.
