4. I feel like a took the path that separated me from the others. I have no
plans for signing up for it. Another think that makes me feel left out is when I try to work and take a break to see what's going on - and someone has flagged something that was said on CNN or something and nothing else - big blank for the reader - no words about what happened - just an assumption that everyone was watching tv. There are a lot of dead ends on the path I took to not watch the right wing networks or use facebook or twitter. I find that I can't or don't go back to see what other people posted to figure out what it is.

I'm with you about facebook.

5. That's the first rule of tea klan English: If a word ends in an "s",
it gets an apostrophe.

7. Not just the tea klan. Many DUers are guilty of it.
It drives me crazy, but I am polite and do not call attention to it.

10. It drives me crazy, too.
The form is everywhere and I see a day coming when the plural in English is marked by apostrophe.

11. So we are now boycotting apostrophes even where they are necessary and correct?
There is no hope for this divided nation.

6. Has a long way to go
with under 300 members right now. They're also campaigning for liberal and progressive friends.

When I joined FB a couple of years ago, it had a higher percentage of pugs and cons. I think that has largely changed, though.

I like the fact that there are so many world residents. I declared myself as an atheist there, and now have many people, a lot of them in the Middle East, who also share that with me. It's difficult to keep up with so many friends, and I probably don't really know many of them except as a name on a list, but some of them have interesting lives.

Of course, I love the friends I have on FB that come from DU! I think I've gotten to know some of them even more. :)

9. I can't bash anyone's spelling or grammar.
I've barely mastered the American language as it is. And typos don't make it any better. If it weren't for spell check I'd be a bloomin' idiot.
