Has anyone heard of (or used) The Benefit Bank?
I'd never heard of this before today.

http://www.thebenefitbank.com/About

"Billions of dollars in public funds go untouched each year because applying for state and federal benefits such as Food Stamps or Medicaid is confusing, intimidating, time consuming, or embarrassing. Additional billions in tax credits are also left unclaimed due to lack of knowledge. The Benefit Bank removes these obstacles - bringing people closer to stability and closer to self-sufficiency."

The Benefit Bank is owned and operated by Solutions for Progress

http://www.solutionsforprogress.com/

"An organization like no other. Changing reality on the ground by using policy research and technology to fight poverty; assisting people to obtain supports in an easy and dignified manner and governments to deliver services more effectively.

SfP's signature technology platform is The Benefit Bank® Online Service TBB TM), which forms the heart of a national outreach effort to connect low- and moderate-income Americans with work supports in the form of tax credits, public benefits, and other assistance such as student financial aid and disability assistance."

2. I'm trying to find out how reputable (or not) the company behind it is...
Maybe no news is good news.

I see they often work in conjunction with 211.org, so that's a huge positive to me.

Maybe they'll expand to your state soon. Thanks, WhiteTara!
