Emirates 24 (UAE) picks up the Prosser story - Judge accuses colleague of choking her

Wisconsin Supreme Court justice says another justice choked her during an argument in her office earlier this month — a charge her colleague denies.

Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Justice David Prosser put her in a chokehold after she demanded he leave her office.

Prosser issued a statement saying the allegations "will be proven false" once a "proper review of the matter and the facts surrounding it are made clear."

Wisconsin Public Radio and the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, quoting anonymous sources, have reported the altercation occurred before the Supreme Court's decision earlier this month upholding Gov. Scott Walker's bill to cut public employees' collective bargaining rights.

I'm under the impression they were handling it internally, which frankly given the position, is understandable for the state not to want to lose face.

Apparently, the Capitol police were called in and they're supposedly investigating this. I think it's fairly obvious the incident and the aftermath were kept on the ultra-hush which is a PROBLEM. Incidents like this should never be hidden from the public. These judges are elected public servants with immense power, and the public absolutely has a right to know if one of them is a violent nutter.
