Nice to see some attention paid to this sad reality.

3. I used to work 1:1 with a handicapped, homeless teenager
When the housing boom went bust, his Dad lost his job in construction and couldn't find other work. The family was living out of their van for months. I don't know how they managed that with a 17 year old boy in a wheelchair and mentally disabled also. When his Dad found a job in North Dakota, they left Florida in a matter of days.

4. Yes, rerun. Worse since Rick Scott got his budget cutting programs.

5. I lived in Seminole County from 1989 - 2005
and it was a thriving, solidly middle class community with great schools, medical facilities and decent employment. I am sick and beyond saddened to see so many families are homeless and hungry there today. One of the children profiled in the 60 Minutes segment lived across the street from my neighborhood until his family lost their home! My children were the last generation to grow up in relative security in that area. Goddamn the Bushes (Debya and Jeb) and now Rick Scott. A pox on both their houses!
