1. Seems like a good indicator of the general state of division that we have in this country.

While a clear majority are favoring the legislation (54/46), it saddens me to think that there is a huge part of this country that doesn't understand the most basic aspect of our country - we are a nation of immigrants. Our diversity is what makes this country unique.
