Rep. Michele Bachmann has kicked off her presidentail campaign on a platform of reducing federal funding, asserting the government does not need to support private businesses. It’s a ticket designed to appeal to a voter base who want to decrease government spending.

Only Bachmann’s family has benefitted over the very thing she disdains: federal subsidaries.

The Los Angeles Times first reported that her family farm received nearly $260,000 in farm subsidaries.

Then it surfaced that her husband’s mental health clinic recieved $24,000 in federal and state funds. When asked about it, Bachmann said it was one-time training money that went to the employees, not her or her husband.

Now, a new report states that the one-time sum was not the only government aid the clinic recieved. The company has recieved annual payments from Medicaid totaling over $137,000.
