1. Texas is far from the only state

Frontline even talked about issues such as this just the other day. Not only that we have no national standards for coroners and many are unqualified. A lot of places have the coroner up for elections.

Here was a case in Phoenix. Long read but it details many things.

I rec'd but now it is at 0. I never complain about unrec but this does seem to be an odd thread to unrec.

justice is not perfect and often it is not even very good
