High horses have slippery saddles...
Just saying how delighted I am that the smug Halpernin shot himself in the foot, ate crow and still got suspended.

He was overdue for this.

4. Dontcha know it's always just some "oopsie" for them - as in, IOKIYAR
I'm so glad that the mic was on. I always figured that Halpernin's smugness was from his probably figuring he had us fooled about what he really is. We knew but now we have the proof and he handed it to us on a platter.

9. Which kind of misses the point that what he did was BAD for America. We desperately NEED to learn
how to respect one another, despite our intrinsic differences. Halperin HURT this country, by making it look cool and admirable to disrespect the office of the Presidency.

16. The fact that they've suspended him indefinitely told him how uncool he was
But you're so right about his feeling cool and admired by his peers. I believe that he's said similar before this and looked from side to side for nods and smiles of approval. This time it wasn't a private joke and it got his smug ass kicked off the network.

18. I feel sorry for the assistant producer who's probably going to get fired too, with heaps of scorn,
instead of the sympathy all of those MSM creatures will shower Halperin with.

6. Unbelievable! It was surreal...
"It's OK, right Joe?

"Sure go ahead. We got you covered!"

Not!

Halperin, oily as he is, has always carefully parsed his language. He's obvious about it to the point of being aggravating. And here he just steps off the cliff. I'm astounded. He always seemed so careful.

Note: Do not take this as endorsing anything he ever said.

11. "oily" sure nails his general demeanor
I'd been searching my thoughts for the right word to describe him and you got it just right!

It always bothered me how Tweety kissed up to Halpernin after he co-wrote the book about the campaign.

14. He won't get fired from that most conservative publication.
They are probably getting a good sniggering laugh about the whole thing, patting him on the back.

15. Over the last dozen or so years, Halperin always seems to have a different employer
He always seem to appear on my teevee screen with a different label under his name.
