1. "Police say she squeezed and twisted the agent's breast with both hands."
Well then.

4. Well, if she intended civil disobedience, she got the arrest
part right, anyhow. Otherwise, she made a seriously wrong decision.

13. I think she made a very brave decision.
She must have known that she would be arrested and miss her flight and be charged with a crime. Yet she did it anyway, knowing the consequences. I hope others follow her lead, until this fascist practice is stopped.

15. Well, she made a decision, certainly.
I'm afraid her protest is a futile one, though.

She also translated one book. It is called "The Age of Wikileaks".

Hmmm....

Edited on Sat Jul-16-11 12:34 PM by Zebedeo
that actions that otherwise would constitute felony sexual abuse are permitted as long as the perpetrator is employed by the government?

20. She squeezed and twisted the agent's breast
I have not once in all my pat downs (which I've had quite a few) had a squeeze and twist.

18. Sexual molestation at the airport is illegal again?

If it's okay for them and if the Fed Govt defended their gross tactics, which they did regarding the Texas law, then it's a free for all and everyone can do it.

The Texas law was clear about the sexual abuses and described them in detail making them illegal, which most of us thought they already were. The Fed Govt threatened to ground Texas planes if the law, which passed the Texas House, passed the Senate. What they were defending by doing that, is a disgrace.

That woman is brave. And I agree with whoever said it should be a jury trial.

25. You think a woman who twisted another woman's breasts is brave??
She assaulted her. It's sick and she deserves to have the book thrown at her.

You know what, Sabrina? Being frisked at airports is a fact of life, and it's not just at US airports. I was frisked at an international airport that wasn't in the US, and while I'd prefer not to have been frisked, it was done quickly and I was on my way. It's great to be opposed to OTT security measures and to fight against them using constructive and legal means, but to condone the assault of another woman, or to claim that being frisked (something every passenger has the right to say no to and walk away from) is 'fondling', 'groping', 'sexual abuse' and the ongoing flood of descriptions intended to portray it as a sexual experience is not the way to fight anything.

That and labeling the people that support the TSA and other "security" measures correctly: As sniveling cowards that should be ashamed to show their faces in public.

I'm glad you've got no problem being groped. Many people do.

29. Physical abuse is never the way to oppose something...
Anyone who thinks it's okay to grab a woman's breasts like that has some serious issues and no respect for women...

I don't recall saying I've got no problem being groped. Can you point me to where I said it?

Good for her. We need more people like her to stand up for their rights and civil liberties. Any DA with half a brain should knock this down to a simple misdemeanor, or even dismiss the whole damn thing.
