Once Again, "Compromising" to The RIGHT.
only THIS time, the starting position is already Far Right,
putting Social Security & Medicare on the table,
and spending CUTS during a Recession & Jobs Crisis.

But aside from all that,
is everybody enjoying the Political Theater?
I am finding the Choreography to be amazing.
Everybody has their part down pat, from Cantor to Obama.
It almost looks like there is really a fight going on,
but, of course, it has ALL been Kabuki to maintain the dramatic illusion of a conflict.
And the Timing has been Precise!
I can appreciate a Well Timed drama.
You can't get to the climax too soon, you have to build interest and deepen the appearance of conflict.
It is essential to make the outcome seem in doubt.

That Drama Building bit last week about "Seniors might not get ANY check at all" was BRILLIANT.
Pure Machiavelli.
After scaring them like THAT, they should be grateful for just a 15% cut.
BRAVISSIMO!!!

****Spoiler Alert*****

I've seen this one before,
and it doesn't end well for the Working Class, the Retired, and the Poor.

Cherish your memories, SUCKERS!
because we're TAKING everything else!
Hahahahahahaha!

1. I think you've got it.
Nobody's really fighting for us -- it's all to save the financial markets. We are only here to serve our masters.

3. I've met that pig when I worked on the Floor of the NYSE. Or was it on Capitol Hill? Or . . .
he's used to getting what he wants.

11. Off topic: Herbert Coward & Deliverance
Your picture shows Herbert 'Cowboy' Coward in his role as "Toothless Man" in the movie Deliverance. With him in that scene, besides Ned Beatty, was Bill McKinney as "Mountain Man." When McKinney was setting up his official website, he chose www.squeallikeapig.com! HAHA!

Bill McKinney

9. I am so conflicted. I want a dem admin
at least, for the supreme court. But I want this slide to the right to fucking stop, right fucking now.

And i am conflicted about my conflict, as I am sure it is right where the pigs want me.

10. I wish that JUST ONCE after after all these "compromises",
the outcome would have moved this country incrementally to The Left.

Who will STAND and FIGHT for THIS American Majority?
You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their excuses.

12. Your graphic says it. LOL
I've fond memories of having pictured life ahead, collectively as Americans and for me as an individual, looking more hopeful.

15. Bill Clinton should stay on the porch...
...with all the other Old Dogs.
I'm STILL angry about his interference in the Arkansas Democratic Primary 2010.

The White House sent him back to Arkansas to rescue the failing campaign of virulently Anti-LABOR/Anti-Healthcare Blanche Lincoln.
You remember, Blanche "I have always depended on the kindness of Large Corporations" Lincoln?
She was having trouble beating a popular Pro-LABOR/Pro-HealthCare Democrat until Bill showed up to save her.

about the Republican-but-claiming-Democratic President
(and his staff & choices)
are you not?

Personally, this is the LAST Thing I'd have ever expected.
It's even worse than all that happened through the Reagan, Dubya & Bush (both of 'em) years
BECAUSE we expect better from Democrats.

BTW, I love reading your posts; all of them.
Thank you for putting up the good fight!
