The big lie. Don't lose sight of it.
We're running deficits currently due to the tax cuts, unfunded warfare, and a financial downturn created by deregulation of the financial system. Add in more free trade agreements and you have very bad economics. Cutting domestic spending and corporate income taxes even more are false elixirs of political lies concerning this economy.

3. Which is why the US Congress and the Executive branch are delaying, again, another finan. debacle
So long as we have our inefficient and ineffective tax process to assure a reliable stream of revenue AND a reliable plan by which Congress cannot barter away our country--we will be at this crossroads again and again.

Other countries have done it with balance. We can too.

5. That's the simple truth that not a single centrist politician, in either party, can or won't say.
Your simple solution would radically change the way this country is run. The current system serves the rich very well, and for them not paying their fair share of taxes is a religion.

That's why they won't talk about this.

Plus 7 trillion.

The unfunded giveaway to the drug companies.

I couldn't find a chart with that included (I could swear I've seen one though)
but here's another good one that's been around lately.
