It's happy hour and still nothing.

I think it makes him look like an ass-hat to promise something by 4PM and not say/do anything. Obama should stop by the press room in the WH and ask "So where's the Speaker's Plan?" That would be a fun soundbite tonight.

1. Here you go, kind of
No debt deal in sight, parties go separate ways

And Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) told his colleagues in a Sunday afternoon conference call that a debt deal with Obama is not the way forward. He said on a conference call that a plan that “reflects the principles” of the conservative “Cut, Cap and Balance” proposal that the Senate rejected will serve as the model for any legislation coming out of the House.

2. Ok so wait a minute
Friday Boner says that he is walking away from the table with the President. He walked away and both the Prez and Boner held tit for tat press conferences.

They meet Saturday and basically Boner says by 4PM Sunday the House Repukes will send their plan on so the Asian markets will not be impacted too dramatically.

So 4PM comes around and nothing from the House. Boner says that a debt deal with the President is NOT the way forward. HE ALREADY SAID THAT FRIDAY!!

Now they are REALLY playing with fire.

can act alone to prevent a default. What an F'ing moron, reading the Constitution did nothing to educate that fool.
