What's this super congress crap? I still don't understand it.

1. As I understand it (which I may not)

a gang of 12 comprised of leaders from both houses of Congress will write the legislation and then try to ram it through both The House and Senate.

I don't think there is any real plan. I honestly believe this is all posturing before the 14th amendment is invoked as a last resort.

The 'super congress' thing is/was a bipartisan committee of 12 to fast track legislation and bypass
the amendment/filibuster process...

And, no plan as of today, apparently. My feeling is if they couldn't get it done today with the Asian markets breathing down their necks, they may not be able to reach an agreement, period.

What a mess.

These plans change every several hours. They each take turns coming up, until the aggreived side plays whack-a-mole on them.

Whatever happens eventually will be worked out in extreme haste, and will likely have things that both sides don't want.
