Not ONE mention of the WAR!!! All the freakin money!!!!!
No one seems to protest the war(s) anymore. That budget is totally different, like Soc Sec. The WAR budget is where all of our money is.....

not a word....a word....from either.

Other than Obamam "did not start them"....not a word about ENDING them!

Not a word!

13. Lots of people
seem to only hear what they want to hear. Kind of funny when you could have TIVO'd the thing just to check and find out that he did mention the wars two times.

18. while two wars and an expensive prescription drug program were simply added to our nation’s credit c
For the last decade, we have spent more money than we take in. In the year 2000, the government had a budget surplus. But instead of using it to pay off our debt, the money was spent on trillions of dollars in new tax cuts, while two wars and an expensive prescription drug program were simply added to our nation’s credit card.

23. he did mention the wars within the context of his speech which was about cuts
Edited on Mon Jul-25-11 08:48 PM by lunatica
What are you talking about? I was actually surprised that he actually mentioned them in this context. He even said the cost of these wars was added on AFTER the tax cuts for the wealthy that was Bush's response to the surplus he was left with by Clinton.

I guess you didn't hear what you didn't want to hear.
