The Republicans who want default are missing something.
If they don't raise the ceiling, they are delegating to the president the authority to fund the agencies and programs has he, in his sole discretion, sees fit.

3. Shut down postal service in Boehner/Cantor's home districts
Then shut them down in the home districts of every teabagger.

Make sure there's still postal service in the blue districts.

Stop patrolling the borders, but only in Republican districts.

Obama needs to channel his inner LBJ on this one and play hardball.

4. Its too late the US credit rating WILL be downgraded and
that will offset about $100 Billion in savings due to higher interest rates.
