3. I don't actually think he "ran it by Rush to get his okay" as so

many of us want to think. I actually think it was kind of a smart, tactical move in order to get Limbaugh's legions of whack job listeners on board -- flatter them, and Rush, by giving them the "scoop" and you've got them in your pocket. Probably wasn't smart to do it before he passed it by his caucus, but they've already become disenchanted with him, so no loss there.

And, I really don't think he wants the job anymore, he's probably been ruing the day he decided to go for it. He actually has to WORK and put in hours!

Boehner has less and less time to hit the bottle these days. He definitely wants this settled.

The yappy little teabaggers are probably more in his way than "that man in the white house".
