I caught the rainbow
Edited on Tue Jul-26-11 06:02 PM by DainBramaged
Big thunderstorm. Only seen a couple of rainbows in my life. This one I got a shot of. Something good happening soon. Just another indicator. Butterflies, dreams, now rainbows. Maybe I get to smell a unicorn fart next.

13. Unicorn farts are actually odorless
So you wouldn't know you were smelling one anyway.

6. It's so colol when you can catch the rainbow! Nice picture.
I knew we had found the right place when I caught the rainbow over our farm. You can't see it in this little copy, but it was a double rainbow and the ends were in front of the trees are the bottom of the hill so the rainbows ended in the bottom pasture!

10. POURING RAIN, trying to protect the lens from rain with one hand while just pointing and shooting
left my glasses inside so I was just firing off shots hoping one was in focus. It was. Used a Kodak Z710. Nice little camera.

9. What...Have...You...Done?!
Let the rainbow go right now!
Don't you know how many light-elves you might be killing by keeping the rainbow captive?

I can hear the cries of anguish from here!

Release it before pandemonium sets in in the light-elves' world. They might start stealing our underwear, or socks...

Wait, Trolls take socks, but think of the Underwear!

32. The light elves have a special door into my place...
I know because they are constantly moving my crap around when I'm sleeping or when I'm too zonked from meds for my migraines.

Luckily for everyone I know, the elves have decided to leave MY underwear alone. Now I just have to work out a deal with the Trolls
for my socks. :P

are reversed in one of them.

colors.

It is an AHA! moment.

19. I see rainbows two or three times a year in Florida. And for little rainbows, set the
nozzle on your water hose to spray or morning mist in bright sunlight. You can make your own rainbows with a little practice. :D

20. I have seen a double rainbow.
In fact, I was flying back from Mexico and the plane flew over it. Quite a sight. I was tempted to break out in song with "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" because I was literally over the rainbow and looking down on it.

17. Rainbows are pretty common in the desert.
I struggled, a few years back, to explain to my grandson why we couldn't rush out to find the pot of gold; why we'd never arrive.

Now that he's old enough to understand a simple explanation about light and refraction, he is asking why he doesn't see a rainbow EVERY TIME there's some rain while the sun is out.

I'm glad you were able to catch this one.

Unicorns? When he was little, I once told him, in a sad voice, that one of my horses was a unicorn who had lost her horn in a terrible accident. He hovered around the pasture for extended periods of time, fascinated.

I wish I could convince him that all that manure was really lovely unicorn poop, with treasures at the bottom of the pile, but for some strange reason, he's become skeptical as he's grown!

That said, if you want to smell unicorn farts, come on out to the barn. They're more likely to fart if you are busy with a fork and a cart; they think you aren't paying attention.
